Hi, I’m Paul, and I’ve spent my life capturing stories—first through the lens of a video camera, and later, through the lives and experiences of the people I photograph.

I was raised in southeast Arkansas, where I always felt like the “artsy” kid amidst a world of hunting and car enthusiasts. My creative journey took an unexpected turn after high school when I served as a combat medic for six years. But it wasn’t long before I followed my true passion and pursued film school, launching a career in media that spans over three decades. From network television to ad agencies, hospitals, universities, and private companies, I’ve worn many hats—videographer, director, producer, designer—but it wasn’t until I picked up a DSLR that my love for photography truly began to blossom.

A weeklong photography workshop in Santa Fe changed everything. It ignited my passion for still photography, and what started with landscapes and architecture soon evolved into portraits. Today, my focus is helping others express themselves—discovering and celebrating their unique stories and identities in a way that feels authentic and freeing.
